You don’t need strength to let go of something. What you really need is understanding.

The “heat and stress” is causing me to have acne.  I can’t do anything to fight those two, so I resorted to have an online search for ways to treat or prevent acne. I landed at Proactiv website and found out that it is endorsed by famous or well known entertainers; such as Mandy Moore [...]

All I Want for Christmas

Posted By Junelle on November 12th, 2009

It’s hard to think for material things to give, but really I guess everyone would love to have cash on Christmas. I for one would love to have that as well, but most of the people will resort to buying something because for me, I think the receiver would think it wouldn’t be enough or effortless.

Anyway, I accept anything anyone would give me this Christmas – WHOLE HEARTEDLY, so do you have something for me?

Extended Warranty

Posted By Junelle on September 28th, 2009

A warranty is always a good offering, but an extended warranty is even better. Don’t you just wish that everything has an extended warranty just like rv extended warranty that keeps RV owners happy?

If you are not aware what an extended warranty is, it is also known as extended service contract. It is sold differently or separately from the dealership and covers components after the original manufacturing warranty expires.

Steps to do at the Airport from Iloilo to Manila

Posted By Junelle on September 24th, 2009

During my first experience traveling alone, I wanted to have a step by step guide so that I wouldn’t look stupid at the airport. However, I haven’t found a guide then, so I am now creating one for whoever are in the same situation as I was before.

I was dropped at the Iloilo airport by my mother and cousin. I have with me a backpack and a medium size luggage. So here I start with the steps:

  • Upon entering the airport, present your ticket and an ID at the security within the area.
  • You will then enter a scanner area, where you have to put all your bags and luggage’s to be scanned.
  • After doing that, you will be scanned as well, by an airport personnel upon entering the area.
  • IMG_2725 You then need to check your flight fall in line to get your boarding pass. You need to present your ticket here. If you are early, you will be asked if you wanted a window seat or otherwise. Leave your luggage here, if it is uncomfortable for you to “hand-carry” it. If you decided to leave your luggage, a sticker will be placed on your luggage to mark it and a part of that sticker will be placed either on your boarding pass or ticket. You will need to keep this to present later after claiming your luggage/s.
  • IMG_2726 Now, you could keep your ticket in your pocket and hold on to your boarding pass. Climb the stairs or use escalator to go up to the “gate lounge.”
  • IMG_2727 Upon reaching the top, you would see this area. Here, you need to pay Php 200 for the airport or terminal fee. (This may change.)
  • IMG_2728 Another scan. This time, much strict. You need to have all your bags scanned. Plus, you need to take off your shoes before entering for a body scan.
  • IMG_2731 Shocking, there are birds inside the airport. Now, you could sit and relax in one of these benches then watch as other people being checked upon entering. IMG_2744 You have an option to eat on the kiosks within the area.IMG_2732 That, I grabbed. IMG_2733 See, this is my food. IMG_2738 YUM!
  • IMG_2739 After eating, now time to relax. I watched movie on my notebook, while waiting for boarding time.
  • IMG_2742 Be sure to locate the right gate for your boarding. This could be seen on your boarding pass. I have located mine.
  • IMG_2743 Long wait is over, boarding time. Now I am on my seat. Seat letter and number is located on your boarding pass, which you should present upon boarding in.
  • IMG_2794 Relax and enjoy the flight.
  • IMG_2796 Time to leave the plane.
  • IMG_2798 Now, need to pic-up the baggage if ever you have one.
  • IMG_2799 Baggage located.
  • Now, you exit the airport. A guard will be asking you for a sticker if you have a luggage, just present your ticket or boarding pass, wherever that was placed during your boarding pass claim.
  • Ride a taxi or look for your “sundo.”

That’s it!

Why do Women Wear Make-Up

Posted By Junelle on September 11th, 2009

Upon reading a blog post about “The Real Reason Why Women Wear Make-up,” I can’t help to air my opinion about the topic.

Firstly, I wanna say that I strongly disagree on the picture labeled “ugly beyonce” on that post, just because Beyonce doesn’t have a make-up on. I find her beautiful in that picture. I always believe in the saying “Simplicity is Beauty.” Isn’t it a trend now that make-up are put in a celebrities faces with a “natural look?” So, I guess that just simply states that natural beauty, is always the best, or at least for me that is.

I am the kind of person who doesn’t wear make-up often, in fact I could live for months not putting one on and actually be confident to say, “I am beautiful.” I guess beauty just shows when you have confidence to show it. I admit, I sometimes look myself in the mirror and see myself ugly, but most of the time I admire myself. I am not a narcissist. I think at this point of my life, I am over the superficial aspects and more on concentrating on deeper side of things. Besides, whatever other people say about me, there is one thing that matters, it is to be able to hear someone I love tell me that I am beautiful. What more could a person ask? There are a few people who sees me as ugly but the saying goes “we can’t please everybody.” As I have mentioned, I don’t wear make-up most of the time, and I only do during special events or when I feel like experimenting on colors.

I guess in the society in where I am at, make-up is not really that big of a deal. Though, teenagers now could be seen wearing it, the adults are more of a “powder on” than putting colors into their faces. In my office for example, only 5% of the employees here wear make-up and to tell you there are more than a hundred employees in my company.

Let’s go back to the main question of this topic, “Why do Women Wear Make-up?”

I would like to answer this, base on my own reason. I have an oily face, and if I attend events and take pictures, my oily face would often “stand out.” I don’t like attention that much, because as an only child, I have gotten enough already. So, I put make-up on to cover that abnormality.

This time, I would answer base on my experience with my friends who loves to put make-up on. I have a friend who growing up sees her grandma wearing make-up on a daily basis. It is like a routine for her grandma to put make-up on after taking a shower, so I guess it’s like taking a shower for her, a necessity. Seeing that, and I guess my friend admires her grandmother, so she follows her. During our college days, you would not see this friend of mine without a make-up. Like her grandma, it has become a routine to her that after shower, a make-up needs to be put on. So, that seems to be her reason.

If you are into computers and you would hear MAC, then you would actually think, “Oh, an Apple Mac” but really there is another meaning of MAC for those who loves make-up. MAC cosmetics has been adored by some of my friends and some actually doesn’t know it existed.

As a woman, I guess we have to learn how to put on make-up. So, we better be updated on make-up tips if you want to be fit in. Now, the trend is “natural” maybe tomorrow it would be “picasso look.”

We don’t know where this trend is taking us, but one thing I need to tell you, each of us are unique and we are all beautiful in our unique ways. We don’t need make-up to make us feel beautiful. Just believe in yourself, and with self confidence you will surely shine.

My Mom Bought Me Shirts

Posted By Junelle on September 6th, 2009

I don’t buy things for myself now. Even if my salary is above average, It’s not enough to finance the needs of my family.

I am a single parent, and an only child. Often, I would think that what will happen to me in the future, or to my family if my salary won’t be enough? Well, I guess I just have to work for my dreams to come true.

Anyways, my Mom bought me shirts. Actually, pretty much everything I am wearing everyday are either things given to me by my parents or cousin.

I guess being a Mom is like that huh? You just get too old for them, you’ll always be their baby. I am kind of like that to my kids too. Even I know they have millions of toys already, most of them broken within minutes after having it. That never stopped me from buying them more, even though my money is just enough for that.

Selflessness of being a Mom!

Being a Mother, Loved and Cared For

Posted By Junelle on August 29th, 2009

I love Saturday’s and Sunday’s because its those days I get to spend most of my time with my family, especially with my kids.

I used to think that having kids would be a burden, and that what scared me before when I got pregnant.  I must admit it was hard having a baby, but it didn’t stop me to have another one.

It was really a fulfilling experience having to see my children grow the way they are now. It somehow made me proud of myself. My children are so sweet and they are showy of their love.

I want to share what happened awhile ago.

My daughter walked in, in my room with a pack of chaymito in one hand and bananas in the other. She hopped into my bed and gave me a banana and chaymito. These are the moments that makes me feel happy being a Mom. I know I am not perfect, but it doesn’t stop my kids from loving me.

Kids are great and I am happy God gave me the perfect kids for me.

In Love and Life

Posted By Junelle on August 15th, 2009

I feel at peace right now. So, I am writing this with a clear mind.

I know there are people who doesn’t like me, but who doesn’t have someone disliking them? Even “Saints” have those. So, who am I to be more “goody” than they are?

So, what do I have to say to my haters?

“If you have nothing good to say, SHUT the #@^% UP!”

I think for now, I consider that as an accomplishment! If you know me personally, I WAS a “war-freak” but I guess when you have almost everything you wanted in life, you just learn how to understand and symphatize with others.

So what changed me?

Firstly, I would like to mention LOVE. That word is complicated, but one reason why I believe in “God” is because I believe in love. As they say, God is Love! I am in love with a person I know who loves me as well. On what level you might ask? Well, to the point, that we’ve faced teenage life together, learned love and those other “first” special things. We hated each other at one point, but things just have its own way of linking us back together. Most of the time, we’re friends who openly discuss things about life in general. Do we understand each other? I guess pretty much, yes! We learned to understand each other, by knowing each others background. After all, he is the only man I have known for the longest time in my life and remained to be in touch. He accepts me for who I am – FULLY! He is not funny, but he makes me happy.

So, with Love comes LUST? To be honest, I guess TV has been helpful in my case. Whether TV is making me crazy, or it is just the best therapy for this kind of situation. Did I mention, my love and I are worlds apart? If I haven’t, well now you know we are. There’s only one thing he asked of me, “be good.” So, I do it the very best. Let’s go back to TV. I haven’t had sexual partner for quite some time now, so I watch TV to somehow fill that patch of my life :) Not that I watch porn and satisfy myself, but I guess just seeing those romantic movies (mostly romantic comedy) and seeing those people making love, is satisfying enough for me. I don’t play with myself if that is what you are thinking. I plainly watch it and let my heart feel the love. So porn is not effective on me, I am more into seeing the “love” in the story, rather than the “ahh.. ahh.. ohhh” thing.

I love my FAMILY! Quote from Lilo and Stitch, “This is my family. It’s small and it’s broken, but it’s good. Yeah, it’s good.” My family is just perfect for me.

One important aspect in life is MONEY, so do I have that? I don’t earn as much as most of the people around me, but I earn enough to slowly get on my feet. I know I would get to the point in where I would accomplish all of my dreams. So, now I am working hard on achieving it and enjoying my career as I go along with it.

With the busy schedule I have, it was hard for me to be in touch with my FRIENDS. In life, as we experience things, we learn from it and GROW. I’ve lost a few friends and gained a lot. In friendship, I have learned that it is important to have a balanced give and take relationship, because if one thing is short, then it would just fall off.

I value each person that comes into my life and I just wish that I have more time to spend knowing and building relationship but I don’t hold time and there is only 24 hours a day. Nothing much I could do with that but spend it wisely.

I may view things differently than others would normally do but try to open your mind. I belive, I am not a bad person. If you see me that way, then suit yourself. But I don’t think I have done anything to harm anybody. If I have caused you harm, then I am sorry.

I am happy, and I hope you are as well.

Enjoy Life!

The Duty of Being a Mom

Posted By Junelle on July 11th, 2009

If you are close to me, then you might know that my Mom is not actually my best friend kind of Mom. In fact, in most of the days of our lives, we spent it arguing with each other. This morning was kind of different. It was one of the rare days that Mom would surprise me with her Mommy power.

What happened?

Well, I have been working my ass out to cope up with the financial needs in the house and my Mom knows that I do my best in everything. Even if we argue a lot, she knows that she brought me up well and that I am a responsible person.

So, when I arrived home from the office she asked, ”Aren’t you going to sleep yet?” I answered, “No, just finishing up some things to be able to work smoothly next week.” She then went down stairs, and when she came back, she brought me a cup of hot noodles. With a smile on my face, I said thanks. We had a bit of a chit-chat then I told her I am just gonna sleep now then work on things later when I wake up. She then leaves the room smiling.

I can’t help but appreciate her being a Mom when she does that, and maybe its good the she rarely do that for me to appreciate her greately.

Being a Mom is not a simple thing. Not all women are blessed to have this gift. God had choosen me to be a mother of two at a young age. I admit that I don’t think I was ready for such responsibility when I got pregnant, but I let His will be done. So, I take on love and life with an additional two precious lives attached to me.

Like my Mom, I think I am not the best friend kind of Mom, because often times when I correct my daughter, I lose patience and shout at her. But, that doesn’t stop us from loving each other. It hurts me when I do those kind of things. STRESS just sucks the hell out of me most of the time, that I could not control my temper. However, I do my best in avoiding those situations.

So, my daughter may be scared of me when I get angry, but at least she knows well enough that she could count on me for comfort. Just awhile ago, she went into my room bringing a fake flower.

Picture 029

She comes closer and tells me, “Mommy, this is for you.” I smiled and kissed her. She then snuggled with me in my bed and told me, “I locked my room.” She then covered her ears, “Lola Mommy is going to shout at me.” I smiled and say, “It’s okay. Mommy will handle it. Just go to sleep so that Lola Mommy won’t have the chance to shout at you.” So, not long after our talk, I heard a snore. She had fallen asleep while I was writing this post.

This is a beautiful day. I am feeling the love of the family and that just inspires me to work my ass out.
