Differences of My Mom and I

There are a lot of things that my mom and I argue about. She just cant seem to understand me even if she stayed on my side all these years of my life. However, my dad seem to have understood my actions even if he is often not with us and I too understood my dad.

My mom is the kind of person who would pawn her wedding ring. The ring that would symbolize your love and marriage life with someone so dear to you. I on the other hand would not do that. I treasure everything that has been given and that has value.

My mom also treasures things if you are wondering; she treasures cup, spoons, plastic wrapper or any container that is from McDo or any fast food we enter that would capture her taste. I do this sometimes, if there seems to be tumblers at KFC or any fast food but not spoons, plastic wrapper or any other container that I would call throw-away.

At home, my mom decides things on her own and implement it right away without consulting anyone from the house, or maybe she does consult someone - the helper / maids. I and my dad prefer that every decision within the house, every one should be consulted before implementation. After all, she or we are not the only ones that would be living in it.

With that said, I have bought my own lot, plan to build my own house for me to stay, even if it would be just a small one, as long as I feel relaxed and happy to be in it not a chaotic house that I see my current home now.

I have said a lot of not so good things about my mom in this post, but I have to tell you … having a mom like her is also worth living. I am me because of what she brought me up to be. I remember when I was in school this episode would always happen:

I: Mommy, could help me with my assignment?
Mommy: I am sorry, your lessons are way too advance now, that I could not understand the things you are taking up.

With that, I was able to learn on my own. That is what I am most proud of about me. When I wanted something, I find my own means to learn it without the help of someone else. Thankfully, we now have the internet, and I could research something for my kids if they need my help with their assignments, of course I don’t want them to be dependent on me in everything, I would also do my thing in ignoring some of their needs for them to get it for themselves.
