I thought that I would be able to afford the Laptop on installment basis at EMCOR. I applied they denied me.

My Mom had an existing account with them, so I let my Mom buy the laptop for me. Before that my MOM had mentioned to them that I work in an internet marketing company and that I will be using my laptop on my work. Maybe my Mom mentioned to them that my employer is not a Filipino.

From their advertisement that you could get the laptop with a downpayment of Php 5,000 they made my Mom pay Php 15,000 (this was yesterday). So my Mom told them she will be back today. Now, my Mom went back with the money. They told her that she can’t have the laptop because they said that she won’t be the one using it and that it is better that my employer will be the one to pay for it? WHAT THE F*&^#$!

MUKHANG PERA … IF THEY ONLY KNEW WE COULD AFFORD TO PAY IT IN CASH … I JUST WANT TO PAY IT ON MY OWN AND NOT SUCK MONEY OUT OF MY PARENTS POCKET … SEE YOU JUST LOST A CUSTOMER … EITHER WAY I AM GONNA HAVE THAT LAPTOP…

I GET WHAT I WANT!

    same here.. I tried to apply before to have a new laptop.. but they denied me.. because i do work at home.. Australian company.. but i soon realized that their laptops are far too from the original prize.. Instead, i got a brand new one which my good boss paid for it.. i got it at 30,000/cash but when i checked on emcor, their prize almost reached 45,000.. wtf.. glad, i was denied, maybe until now im still paying for their high installment plan. their business and marketing strategies suck.. DONT BUY or APPLY for their INSTALLMENT PLAN.. if you want to buy a laptop.. start saving money instead.

    I am a victim of the same "modus" Junelle :) as in exactly the same...They denied my application and said the same EXACT statement...my employer should be the one to pay for it. Huh! And just like what you said, they lost one GOOD CUSTOMER...make that two ;)

    i wanna complain also about concept computers. I have been asking for them about specified motherboards and one of the sales lady at merrymart branch was so awful that she was in furious with me but does not even know what i am talking about, i mean i was searching a AM2+ socket motherboard with AMD chipset and 4 slot of DDR2 rams but she keep yelling to me that we don't have here, i said to her that i was inquiring about order basis but she keep yelling about we only have 2 slot ram motherboard when i am inquiring for a order basis. i was a big fan and loyal costumer of concept computer but now i am gonna find another computer shop to buy computer parts for now on. if i where you guys don't go to concept computer coz they have the worst and awful sale lady specially in merrymart mall.
  • I started exploring the internet on that exact place ... your problem should be addressed to the owner which as far as I am concerned is often there.

    Anyways, we all have our bad days ... so maybe that lady was having that and you're just a victim of that bad situation.

    ur ryt emcor sucks..bumili friend ko laptop sa kanila..wala pa 1 month pinatingnan kasi bumagal...under warranty pa pero sabi nila he should pay 500 kasi nga daw d sama sa warranty un...mukhang pera...may warranty ba na ganun?tapos nung binalik ung unit d na maopen nasira na...haizt,,,bwisit talaga ang emcor!!!!

    The EMCOR iloilo selling motorcycles but now thy are selling Desktop and Laptops,What a crazy things to think, they used old mother boards,old video cards and old memory put it inside the brandnew cpu case, then you will think that you are buying brand new,but its just like a beautiful tomb with dead body inside,hahaha,kick off the ass of the EMCOR

    That's right... EMCOR SUCKS... Do you know guys that their collectors are unprofessional, idiots and morons? Good thing you didn't pursue your intention of buying their product. Cause they will be a pain in your A**. I even made a complain to their manager. One day, one of their collectors just came in our gate and didnt even bother hitting the door bell first. I'm not sure if he's just blind or just a natural moron! They call your everywhere (in your cellphone, in your home, in your work). I was really thankful that i paid all my account with them just last Dec 2009 and I promised that I will never make business with this stupid company. No business ethics...

    hindi naman siguro ganyan yung Emcor as a whole. Actually i bought a computer @ Emcor bcoz of their installment scheme...syempre kung minsan yung mga collector nila medyo makulit lng talaga mag follow-up sa customer pero as time goes by they are very friendly and in fact they are asking if wat is d real condition of ur unit after how many months. But in reality basta installment talagang may tubo yan...kahit anong appliance store may tubo talga dito except kung may credit card kayo at kung promo lng.Pero my friend ako na required nila ng higher down kasi para ma lower down ang monthly...ok naman yun..actually they are good in service...as i notice...

  • Sa totoo lang, EMCOR was one of the big named appliance stores, when I was way back in Davao, pero when I saw that their prices were inflates, dito na lang ako sa manila bumili ng mga precision products.

  • Better buy a laptop in Metro Manila my friend. If you can't get good service with them, just get good service elsewhere.

  • I know subay personally and I think what happened to him is a favor because he knows someone who works from there. That is the thing with some people naman kasi parang pag may kilala lang yun lang mabilis at maganda ang service. Halimbawa pag may kilala ka na gumagawa sa isang company owned by our government, sa DFA halimbawa, pag kumuha ka ng passport, pag may kilala ka, siguradong madalian lang ang pag process mo, pag wala ... tiyak pahirapan pa bago mo makukuha passport mo.

    well, i don't know about you guys but for me, yung comment ni subay is very favorable naman sa emcor, d kaya nagtatrabaho sya dyan? anyway, ang masasabi ko lang grabe talaga sila pag maningil...
    imagine wala pa nga due date, pumunta na sila para maningil, pag mag laps ka naman kahit ilang araw lang parang binabastos ka, can you just imagine sa daanan mismo haharangin ka para singilin!!! hindi na talaga kami uulit dyan sa kanila...parang pera lang ang habol nila, wala silang concern sa kanilang mga customers

    so far the cheapest pc we canvased is @ cyberlink compu sales, great service, 1-2 days out na pc mo, dami kasi nag complain about Pc-xtreme iba iba daw nilalagay sa loob ng pc mo hndi yung nakalagay sa brochure nila. tawag nga ng kaibigan ko dun BALDOG-xtreme. hehe

    That's right Paul. My experience with PC extreme is that every time I have my PC repaired, some parts always end up missing. At first, it was just covers and screws, then it became the parts that were replaced such as a defective video card. Now recently, I had enough of it. I have two memory cards in my PC and one was missing. I think the owner is not aware of this, but they should be more strict or else they may also end up losing customers.
    A word of advice, if you plan on having your PC repaired at PC extreme, always check your computer's internal parts BEFORE leaving.

    I recently passed by one of the shops of Emcor, and I saw this back 2 school sale they were having which could be paid via installment basis..the regular price of a desktop set is around 20,000 and the installment price is 1,500(1,700 minus 200 rebate per mo.) for 24 months..when I multiplied the installment price with the number of months to pay, it gave me a result of a whoping 36,000, adding the down payment of 4,000..the total would now be 40,000 for the whole set..doubling the original price?what a rip off!..I don't believe PC Extreme is too pricey because their prices are reasonable enough..

    Well, it's better than the service over at Concept computers. The salesladies always seems to defer you to someone else to answer your questions and that said person would also send you to someone else. Hell, even asking for the price of a computer case is like bureaucracy. Their tech service is also awful. Installation is sloppy and would break down a few days later.
    Thank God Emcor and Concept aren't the only computer shops here.
    Never had problems with Octagon or PC extreme. Although a bit more pricey but they sell better hardware and exercise better service.
  • Well their tech and so-so may be good ... but the sales person they have sucks ... because of the inconsistencies of statements everyday!
  • aw, yeah there is alot of computer shop you can buy your laptop, but i would just like to defend the name :) emcor is where i go to get pc supplies, i already got around 52 pc units from emcor "for 13 different barangay's in oton" so far there service is not bad,

    PS: TIE-UP DELTA-EMCOR Techs are the only certified techs for Hewlett-Packard PC's if you got a new pc from US then you need a repair using its warranty instead of shipping you unit to manila for repair you will still end up @ emcor :) but you don't have to worry your a MAC user ^_^

    famous Computer Concept is using OLD LUTOS programmed in C++ billing software and take note it was built for a internet station :P how cheap the owner is....

    I'm an employee of concept computers. We have a new POS Software unlike yours that is an obsolete one. The old system is only for the internet cafe that we already replaced. And besides we already close our internet cafe station for expansion. Unlike emcor that for how many years still not has expanded here in iloilo.

  • Don't support Emcor's greediness. Buy your laptop somewhere else. Baka di naman maganda service dyan.
