How Am I Coping Up with the Night Shift
During my first night, I drank 3 mugs of coffee and everytime I make one, it would be stronger than the one before so that it would have an effect. The morning after, I told my Mom about it and she said, “It’s not good for your health.”
The 2nd night, I took my Mom’s advice – I didn’t drink coffee. I keep on going to the washroom to wash my face whenever I feel sleepy. The morning, I told my Mom and she said, “You will damage your eye.”
The 3rd night, I don’t know what to do to keep me awake – Good thing I found a video that would make me laugh and somehow remove sleepiness. But that won’t last long, so I mixed it with coffee and face wash.
A week after my night duty, I could not drink coffee because my cholesterol level is boosting up and it might be the one causing it. I was having a headache, but still have the energy to work.
I finally have a solution to my problem. A colleague Sarah suggested that I should take a nap during our 1 hour rest period, because it is what she is doing. This has been a good solution, it could keep me up the whole working hours. The nap really helped.
