I just want to share a piece of advice based also on my experience: If you have undergone updating of your or your family member's birth certificate (through court order or RA 9048) please attach a photocopy of the annotated or updated/corrected birth certificate (that has undergone updating or correction) in your application form, or other documents that can prove that you have indeed applied for the updating (or correction). This will serve as a guide for the processing officer to look for the corrected copy of your birth certificate in the database at all means. “Another question that is yet to be answered: Is the birth certificate updated?
