"Another question that is yet to be answered: Is the birth certificate updated? Stay tuned :P"

Thank you very much for your effort to write this blog and sharing your experiences. It certainly helped a lot of people as unprecedented number of us have to get their NSO copy of birth certificate(s) as required by the end-user(s) like schools, embassies, employers and others.

I just want to share a piece of advice based also on my experience: If you have undergone updating of your or your family member's birth certificate (through court order or RA 9048) please attach a photocopy of the annotated or updated/corrected birth certificate (that has undergone updating or correction) in your application form, or other documents that can prove that you have indeed applied for the updating (or correction). This will serve as a guide for the processing officer to look for the corrected copy of your birth certificate in the database at all means.

All you need to do is fill up the form and pay, that is it. To claim, you need to present an ID or authorization letter if the Birth Certificate is not yours.
Hope that helps
